| Resumen: | En el presente artículo se desarrolla el concepto de temperamento, se explica como influye este en la interacción del infante con su medio y se revisa evidencia reciente al respecto. También se presenta la teoría del apego, sus tipos y partiendo de los planteamientos iniciales, los aportes más recientes al respecto. Finalmente se discute la forma como influyen el temperamento y el estilo de apego del infante en el campo de la odontopediatría. It also presents the attachment theory, its classification, starting, with the initial approach and the most recent contributions.
