| Resumen: | Presentamos la historia clínica de un paciente de 66 años, con antecedente de apendicectomía, y radioterapia de tumor renal derecho, que presentaba desde hace tres años, crisis periódicas de suboclusión intestinal. Los estudios radiológicos contrastados del intestino delgado mostraron un área de estenosis evidente a nivel del yeyuno distal. Intervenido quirúrgicamente se liberaron múltiples adherencias, un segmento del yeyuno distal estaba adherido a través de una banda fibrosa al peritoneo parietal, en ese nivel se demostró una estenosis fibrosa focal del yeyuno distal. La adherencia que fijaba el yeyuno distal al peritoneo parietal, podría haber contribuido a que el yeyuno se torciera y destorciera –periódicamente- sobre su eje, contribuyendo a una inflamación transmural recurrente, que finalmente indujo estenosis fibrosa de la pared intestinal. (AU)^iesThis is a case of a 66 year old male patient that showed up with intestinal oclussion. A previous history of apendicectomy and radiotherapy for a right renal tumor. During the last three years he had several episodes of intestinal sub-oclusion. Contrast studies of small bowel showed and stenotic area at distal yeyunum. He was surgically intervented and multiple adherences where liberated, including a segment of the yeyunum, severely adhered through a fibrous band to the parietal peritoneum. At that level a focal fibrous stenosis of the yeyunum. The adherence was the cause of previous cases and contributed to a transmural recurrent inflammation that finally induced tha fibrosis of the area. (AU)^ien.
