| Resumen: | En la actualidad, la insuficiencia cardiaca es un problema de salud en todo el mundo, siendo la primera causa de hospitalización, debido a las mayores perspectivas de vida, en la etapa de envejecimiento de la población, como consecuencia de una gran variedad de enfermedades cardiacas donde el ventrículo izquierdo no es capaz de bombear adecuadamente la sangre, entonces el líquido se acumula en los pulmones causando disnea, sobre todo al realizar un esfuerzo, pero si afecta a ambos ventrículos, se provoca un exceso de líquido en los tejidos. Frente a ello el rol de la enfermera es contribuir con su misión de educar, donde como sabemos que el conocimiento es un proceso de construcción humano, para reflexionar sobre la información, transformando a la sociedad y puedan modificar sus estilos de vida. Por este motivo se realiza el estudio: "Nivel de conocimientos sobre su autocuidado que tienen los pacientes con insuficiencia cardíaca en el servicio de cardiología del HNERM 2007", con el objetivo general: de determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre autocuidado que tienen los pacientes con insuficiencia cardiaca en el servicio de cardiología del HNERM 2007 y como objetivo específicos: identificar los conocimientos que tienen los pacientes sobre su enfermedad, tratamiento, medidas preventivas y complicaciones. EI presente estudio es de nivel aplicativo, tipo cuantitativo método descriptivo, longitudinal, prospectivo, la población estuvo conformado por todos los pacientes con insuficiencia cardiaca, el instrumento que se utilizo para la recolección de datos fue un formulario, tipo escala de Lickert y la técnica fue la entrevista. Conclusión: La información más significativa fue que los pacientes al salir de alta desconocen los autocuidados en beneficio de su salud (AU)^iesAt present the cardiac insufficiency is a problem of health in the whole world, being the first reason of hospitalization, due to the major perspectives of life, in the stage of aging of the population, since consequence of a variety of cardiovascular diseases when the left ventricle is not capable of to pump adequately the blood, then the liquid accumulate in the lungs causing difficulty in breathing, especially on having realized an effort, but it concerns both ventricles, an excess of liquid is provoked in the fabrics. For this motive the study is realized: “Level of knowledge on his autocare that the patients have with cardiac insufficiency in the service of cardiology of the HNERM 2007”, with the general aim. Of the nível of knowledge determines on autocare that have the patients with insufficiency cardiac in the service of cardiology of the HNERM 2007 and as aim specifics: to identify the knowledge that have on his disease, treatment, preventive measures and complications. The present work study is of applicative level, quantitative type descriptive, longitudinal, market method, the population was shaped by all the patients by cardiac insufficiency, the instrument that I use for the compilation of information was a form, type climbs of Lickert and her technique was the interview. Conclusion: The information more important was that the patients on having gone out of discharge do not know autotaken care in benefit of his health (AU)^ien.
